Game-based Learning in the Classroom

What is Game-Based Learning?

Game-based learning is an educational approach that involves using games or game-like elements to enhance the learning experience. It integrates the principles of gameplay—such as rules, competition, and rewards—into educational activities to make learning more engaging and interactive. The idea is to harness the motivational aspects of games, like challenge and achievement, to promote deeper learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Game-based learning is particularly effective in STEAM education, where complex concepts can be visualized, manipulated, and explored in a hands-on way
